Video response from class

This video was really interesting it had lots of stuff that we talked about in class and it was interesting to see how a corporation really works! In the being of film it said that a corporation owns 1/4 of a business. With this being stated it made me start to think that we are surrounded by so many corporations and we don't even realize it. We are so consumed by their products and the necessities that they instill in our head that they want us to think that we need them.

The media is trying to manipulate children so that they will buy their products at their convenience. Realizing this apple I think is one of the most manipulating corporations they instill in kids minds that they have to have this product or else they will not be "cool" AND they are always trying to come out with bigger and better things creating this spiral effect making the people buy the better things when they come out. It's a harsh world in the world of media. They are always trying to gain those extra dollars in any way possible.

In the movie it said that one company can on its own buy 12 billion dollars of media time. This can range from time on the TV to time on the radio. They are always trying to get out the message that "you need this product" "your going to so much better if you have this product." They even hire physiologists to find out what kids think of their product and what they think is "cool or In" to them. They know their target audience, the hook that will grab them, the settings that will intrigue them to buy their product, the lighting the color. They know everything that will work to sell their product. The media world is run so well they know the dos and don'ts of selling everything.

The media really is the engine that makes the world work at its course not the peoples. It instills in so many peoples minds what they want them to think, dress, act, and what is right and wrong. The Code of the media is {what ever is going to sell this product...do it}. You never hear of a corporation not advertising something and telling what the whole product is; they give you a dip of it and make it appealing to an audience that they know will buy their product.

This movie really opened my eyes to see how the whole system works and how corporations are the brains of the world and the media is the engine or the heart that gives them this power.
